I am very interested in the family tombs of liao Dynasty. There are a lot of stone tablets were discovered in the Khitan tombs, many of which were written in the Khitan language and a few of them have been deciphered. I will do some research about the Khitan family culture in terms of archaeology and linguistics. The Khitan family culture is reflected in the Khitan language and there are many different ways of writing of ‘family’ in different periods.
By now, I have collected more than 100 family tombs of the Liao Dynasty and the owners of these tombs involve of Khitans, Shatuo people from the west and the Han nationality living in the 16 Prefectures of You and Yun to the east. Under the influence of the Liao Dynasty, the conception of family of these people have changed a lot. Many materials suggest that based on their own national cultural characters, the family tombs of Shatuo people and Han nationality people also contain a large number of Khitan cultural factors. Because these people served as officials in Liao government, so the emperor Taizu of Liao implemented the conception of family reconstruction, but it also had a great impact on their family tombs, which also will be a focus of my research.

I will conduct a phased study of the existing Tombs of the Khitan family according to the Khitan language characters that I have collected in the tombs and the phenomenon of burial objects in the tombs. With the help of the study group's linguistic academic background, it will be more conducive to my interpretation and understanding of the Khitan script. At the same time, DNA scholars in the research group will also cooperate with me to clarify the kinship sequence of these Khitan family tombs. This paper discusses the social development under the cross influence of Han culture and Khitan culture.
