Bringing together leading experts in lithic technology from around the globe, this symposium centers on innovative approaches to measuring, comparing and interpreting the intricacies of stone tool production across time and space. Our selection of speakers will emphasize both conceptual frameworks and methodological innovations aimed at objectively measuring technological complexity in the archaeological record. By fostering dialogue across diverse geographic and cultural contexts, we aim to push forward the field of quantitative lithic analysis.
We are especially honored to welcome Charles Perreault from the School of Human Evolution and Social Change at Arizona State University to present his research in a keynote lecture. A detailed schedule will be published here shortly.
