Exploring the impact of Nomadic pastoralism on vegetation in East Turkana, Kenya

The project examines the relationship between nomadic pastoralism and vegetation dynamics in East Turkana, Kenya. By integrating Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) with Scientific methods, the project seeks to understand Human-environment interactions among the East Turkana Pastoralists. A key output is to translate our findings into actionable recommendation for land management policies to ensure TEK is meaningfully incorporated into decision making processes.
