Geological hydrogen – an overlooked energy source?

Prof Jürgen Renn is coauthor of a newly published position paper examining geological hydrogen as a potential resource for the transition toward a climate-neutral energy system. The publication will be released as part of the digital Berlin Energy Days.

The Berlin Energy Days are partnered by acatech, the National Academy of Science and Engineering, and one of the supporting organizations of Energy Systems of the Future (ESYS), where Renn is a member of the Board of Directors.

The paper is based on the latest research, as well as a workshop with international experts from science and industry that took place last November.
